Papago Golf Course

Papago Golf Course is one of Phoenix's most iconic public golf facilities, set inside Papago Park with views of the red buttes that define the east Valley landscape. This project was a cinematic course overview - capturing the layout, design character, and desert setting in a way that serves tournaments, corporate events, ASU golf programming, and donor content.

Our Role

Ragtown Media handled full production for this project, including aerial cinematography with the DJI Mavic 3 flythrough along the fairways, and ground-level Sony cinema camera coverage of the course features and surrounding landscape. The goal was to capture Papago the way a player experiences it - the scale of the desert setting, the texture of the terrain, and the quality of the facility itself.

Why This Project

Golf course video content is often generic. Wide drone shots, slow pans, stock music. Papago deserved something that actually looked like the course - sharp, desert-rooted, and specific to the layout that makes it worth playing. That is the approach we brought to this production.
