Action Sports and Adventure Video Production

Ragtown Media is an action sports and adventure video production company based in Scottsdale, Arizona. We have filmed at the highest levels of the sport, from Red Bull Rampage in the Utah desert to Swatch Nines in the Austrian Alps, and we bring that same level of production to brands, athletes, and events across the country.

This is not a corporate video team that occasionally shoots something outdoors. Ragtown was founded and is led by Clayton Lindley, a former professional action sports athlete who came up inside these worlds before he ever picked up a camera. That difference shows in the footage. We know where to stand, what the moment is going to be before it happens, and how to capture speed, risk, and progression in a way that actually feels like the sport.

Why Athletes and Brands Hire Us

Most production companies treat action sports like any other shoot. Set up, get the shot, go home. That approach misses everything that makes the sport worth filming.

We came up as athletes. We understand the culture, the risk, and the split-second timing that separates a usable clip from a legendary one. We know how to embed with a team without getting in the way, how to shoot FPV and cinema drone work in tight and fast environments, and how to build a film that respects the athlete instead of turning them into a prop.

That is why brands like Red Bull, Swatch, and Get Sendy have trusted us with their action sports content, and why athletes bring us into projects they care about personally.

The Athlete Behind the Camera

Ragtown is led by Clayton Lindley, a former professional freestyle scooter rider who competed at the highest levels of the sport before moving behind the camera full time.

He won the Scooter Freestyle Park at the 2018 FISE World Series in Montpellier, completed the first-ever freestyle scooter BASE jump, and helped create the first-ever collaboration between a skateboard and scooter company. He co-founded Undialed, the largest freestyle scooter media platform in the world, and was named the first-ever Team Principal of the eSkootr Championship. His range runs through scooter, rock climbing, skydiving, and BASE jumping.

That matters on a shoot. When the person directing your action sports film has actually dropped in, jumped, and competed, they know where the moment is going to happen before it happens. They know the difference between a clean landing and an unusable one, how to embed with athletes without getting in the way, and how to capture speed and risk in a way that feels like the sport instead of a highlight reel shot from the sidelines.

What We Bring to the Shoot

Full in-house cinema kit built for the field. Sony FX6 and FX3 cinema cameras, GoPro and Insta360 for POV and mounted work, Sony G Master glass including long telephotos for event and distance coverage.

A dedicated FPV flying team for high-speed chase and proximity work, plus DJI Inspire 3 and Mavic 3 Pro for cinema-grade aerials. All flights by FAA Part 107 certified pilots.

Crew that can keep up. We shoot in snow, desert, dunes, water, and altitude. The gear travels with us, checked and packed the night before, so nothing has to fly but people.

Who This Is For?

Action sports brands that need content built by people who actually understand the sport. Outdoor, adventure, and moto brands looking for real films instead of stock-footage ads. Athletes with a story worth telling. Event organizers who need full coverage from multi-camera live capture through final edit.

If you are working on something real in the action sports or adventure world, we would like to hear about it.
